CVE-2015-1538 is a remote code execution vulnerability that was found in the Linux kernel in 2015. It affected versions of the kernel up to and including 3.19. The vulnerability was caused by a flaw in the keyring handling code in the kernel.

The vulnerability allowed an attacker to execute arbitrary code with kernel-level privileges by sending a specially crafted request to the keyring service. This could have allowed an attacker to take control of the affected system, steal sensitive information, or launch further attacks.
