General Hacking [Tutorial] Basic Commandline commands

So you want to do stuff with hacking, but don't know how the commandline works?
Here are some quick commands to get you started

Notice that before becoming root, the beginning of each command is $.
Root has a # before running a command.
if you see a #, notice that you are a super user a.k.a root. You must be carefull with this, since you can break the system.
The warning message before becoming root for the first time:
